Here's another one of those "I don't usually write reviews" posts but these guys really went above and beyond to help me and show me quality service. I really felt like I was living in a small town again where that kind of service exists because everyone knows each other. I worked mostly with Devin and he really went above and beyond to help me out when I found out that my cars' head gasket had blow, he provided me with options that truly had my best interests at heart and was more than patient as we navigated what to do next. I’m very late in expressing my appreciation for Clegg auto, they helped me with my 2018 Nissan Pathfinder. To say that they helped me is an understatement.They let me use their loner vehicle why cars transmission was going to be fixed. They were honest and in good communication always. I've always had good experiences here. Great warranty on their services, and a great portal for communication as well as regular calls to update you on the status of your car. Recently during a service, I was low on wiper fluid and they filled it up no charge. They take good care of you.

First time here and it was a fantastic experience. I am always scared that people will take advantage of me because I know close to nothing about cars. I didn’t think my problem was too big and I was right. They didn’t even charge me for it! They also fit me in even though they were understaffed today and had enough work to do. First off, the people at Clegg are great. Last year, my car was leaking some oil so I took my car in to them to get checked. They quickly found the issue (a compromised gasket) and they fixed it.The next time I went in for an oil change, they noticed that the same gasket had become faulty. They brought this to my attention and replaced it for free with my last oil change.As far as I can tell, they are competent and quick, and if they miss something, they are honest and go out of their way to make things right. They will be my auto shop unless I move.July 11, 2023 -- I need to give an update to this review. Clegg Auto is INCREDIBLE. My car broke down on the freeway. My alternator died. I got it towed into their shop, they gave me an estimate, and told me that they were swamped and might not get to my car for a couple of days. well, they were done within 6 hours and the car is working perfectly now. I'm super impressed, and I'm not going to another shop in Utah Valley if I can help it.read more

Despite my general disdain for the cost of car repairs, I had a very pleasant experience at this location! The person who helped me—whose name I believe was Dan—was great. He very clearly gave me an ETA not only for the repair’s completion, but also for any updates following the diagnostic, and made sure to remind me of the free concessions (drinks and ice cream) available to customers. Additionally, I thought the billing system was really thorough! I was sent a link to a website that detailed every service they recommended. I was given the choice to accept or decline any of the offered services; this coupled with the prices being lower overall than I thought they’d be made for a much less stressful payment, even if owning a car in this day and age is still ridiculously expensive. Overall, a quick and painless experience. Pricing seemed fair, they fixed my car issue quickly, and I liked the text message system for approving services and repair updates. For the most part, the customer service was great. Another plus for using Clegg - they allow you to use a loaner while they fix your car. I will say, I had a strange interaction with one of the guys regarding the loaner. I used this car to drive home and back to Clegg, which totaled just over 1 mile of driving. When I arrived to pick up my car and return the loaner, this guy required I drive to a gas station to fill up the car - even though I told him I'd only put 1.2 miles on it... The gas station is .25 miles from the shop, so filling it up and driving back seemed a bit silly to me. I asked him if he could just add a gallon of gas to my bill (I was on my lunch break to pick up my car, so I was in a bit of a hurry) but he required me to drive to the gas station to replace the 1.2 miles of gas... I understand rules are rules, but sometimes logic should also be factored in, and when I'm suggesting I'll pay extra on top of my bill, but that "compromise" is still refused.... The whole interaction was just odd, and seemed unnecessary. I THINK I would come back, due to everything else being a good experience, but I would avoid this particular employee in the future.read more

Came here to first get a pre purchase vehicle inspection for a car I was looking at buying and they did a great job with a thorough inspection with a detailed description of things that could possibly need repair. I ended up buying that car and took it in to get the minor repairs done. They were quick with the labor, but when I got my keys back, the unlock button was jammed in and not functional anymore so I went back and explained how my key is now not working after they used them to work on my car. I do almost all of the work on my own vehicles because I don't usually trust mechanics. However I got stuck on a problem and the guys at Clegg's got me in quick, found the problem and didn't pressure me to have them fix it. These guys were always incredibly friendly and accommodating to me no matter who I was talking to. Travis especially was incredible at helping out and was very understanding. I dropped my car off on a tow truck with no warning and they had it up and running the very next day. I would recommend these people to anyone. They have a fair price, everything is up front and they take pictures of what they inspect so you can see it for your self if you want to replace it. Had car trouble on my way to work. I took it to the shop and they got it in and diagnosed in about 2 hours. All options were presented and then a very honest recommendation was made based on the age of the car and cost of repairs. Consent was given and price accepted. I won’t take my vehicles anywhere else. Finding an honest mechanic is like a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, and Clegg’s is that pot of gold. Never once have they spoken down to me, tried to pad the bill, or add unnecessary jobs to my repairs, which I’m sure most women would agree is a rare thing indeed. They treat me with respect, explain what needs done understandably, and listen fully when I’m explaining issues. They even called me back once when they discovered they had over billed me on a part, to ask how I wanted the over billing refund handled.These folk are fantastic. The only problem I have is that others are catching on to how fantastic they are, so I can’t get squeezed in for same-day service when I forget to schedule an oil change anymore. 😉read more

We have loved and trusted Clegg since we found them 3 years ago. Their employees are honest, accommodating, kind to work with. They know what to look for, what to listen for, how to identify problems quickly, and are often able to make fast repairs! They communicate well and their automated repair system makes it easy to select the most important repairs on a visit and keep track of the history of repairs for future visits if you need to budget for less critical work. TLDR - Amazing customer service, if they make a mistake they’ll go above and beyond to fix. 10/10 would recommend.Full reviewI had heard good things about these guys, so I went in when I was having radiator issues. They looked at my car, told me it was the upper hose, and fixed it for a fair price. A week later, my car was having the same issues, so I was understandably frustrated. I took it back in to let them figure out what had happened, and they found that my radiator itself had a crack in it as well. They didn’t charge me for the second inspection, and gave me a great discount on getting the radiator replaced to fix the issue for good. I was very impressed with how they stood behind their work, when they made a small mistake like missing the crack they did their best to make it right! 10/10 in customer service, I will be coming back for any other car issues I have.Highly recommend for transparent pricing and solid work.read more

Love this place! Free drinks while you wait, staff is super friendly, and they did a great job on the timing belt/water pump and radiator replacement! They did the timing belt on my dad's car awhile ago and he hasn't had any problems with it so I figured I'd take another car there. I knew the car needed a new radiator but was planning on doing it myself. After they inspected everything and quoted the radiator the price wasn't that bad so I decided to have them do it and they did a much better job than I ever would have lol. After picking up the car I checked everything out and it looks like they cleaned up the areas where coolant had been leaking from the radiator onto the accessories and whatnot. It's the little attentions to detail like that which gives me the impression that everyone working there truly cares for their customers. Would recommend for sure!read more

They found an issue that another repair place couldn’t find; they believed me and took me seriously about my concern with my vehicle; the car sounds and runs much better now than before. Water pump and serpentine belt replaced — timely and efficient! Hold music/service says they provide transportation but its not guaranteed (depends on how busy they are).

First off, to show you what type of business they are, while you wait, they offer free soda cans, candy, and water. These guys are quick and professional and very transparent. I would highly recommend getting your emissions test here. I was in and out in 20 minutes. However, call and set up an appointment as they do not accept walk ins for emissions tests.

I’ve been to Clegg a number of times and they never disappoint. Recently, they diagnosed some issues in my old lemon that weren’t worth fixing. Tim offered to check the engine codes so we knew if it was safe to continue on our trip. The service at Clegg Auto Repair was fabulous. The air conditioner went out and the service tech quoted for the repair and the part was ordered. He told us something just didn’t feel right about his diagnosis so he rechecked everything again prior to replacing the part and he determined it to be a much simpler and less expensive fix. These guys are absolute legends. They are quick, they are smart, they are honest, and they work hard. I had to wait a few days to get an appointment with them but it was absolutely worth it. Great service, reasonable price. Only gripe is I asked how much and they quoted a price, but when I checked out, though the service was technically the quoted price, they added shop fees that ended up making the bill 25% bigger plus sales tax. Still not a bad price, but would be nice to know the total price when I get a quote for financial forecasting purposes.Edit: Owner later found an error on the invoice. Invited me back in for a refund. Kudos to them making the effort to make it right.

Stopped in to get help with getting a couple rusty screws removed from my rear license plate. Weston took the time to take my tail gate apart to get them out and then put my new plate on with nice new bolts. I didn’t even have an appointment. I’m so impressed with the customer service. Really professional, friendly, work quickly to do the evaluation of your vehicles problems. I really loved how they do their work estimates! They break each part down, tell you about it, then email it to you to allow you to choose to "authorize" each part of the proposed repairs/actions, or not. We were passing through Spanish Fork yesterday (Saturday) on a cross-country trip, stopped in town to gas up and go, when our car wouldn't re-start. After help from some amazing locals, we had it towed to Clegg's, assuming it wouldn't get looked at until Monday morning. The general manager, Glen, saw our post for help on Facebook, and volunteered to come down, at 9pm on a Saturday(!), to take a look at it for us. He had us up and running again in an hour. Took my car in for a leak and to check my motor mounts. I was quoted for the service before hand but was told to wait for the final call before I paid for anything. When the mechanic couldn’t find anything to do with a leak and my motor mounts were good, they told me that they were NOT going to charge me a thing! They did find that my battery connection were needing to be cleaned and offered to do that. They cleaned them for a small fee and I was on my way. Mark and the team are great to work with. I took my son’s 2001 truck in for inspection to see what can be done to save it. They took the time to walk me through and explain in detail the inspection process and results and then the same with repairs. Clegg is the best! Their tow truck driver was clean and quick, and drove all the way up to Salt Lake to pick up our vehicle after the brakes went out. Then, once it was at the shop, they did a thorough evaluation and found the problem. They even had a second technician double check everything before moving forward with work. My initial contact with Clegg Auto was for an oil change for my car. I made an appointment for the same day I called and took the car in. The service was great, the staff I interacted with were all very friendly and what really impressed my wife was the waiting area. She's the one who usually takes the cars for service and waits for them to be finished. She was so excited about the seating and overall cleanliness of the waiting area. These guy are AMAZING!!I had my truck at a different shop and really felt like I was getting the run around. I was told the repairs on my truck would be $6800 to $11000. When Clegg Auto got my truck they looked at it and called me to talk about what they had found. Turns out the shop that had it earlier had put too much oil in the truck casing it to leak. Clegg Auto changed my oil and told me to come back in a week or two if it was still leaking oil. My problem was solved with a simple diagnostic, phone call and an oil change (which I still need to pay for. They told me to see what happens and then come back….who does that these days?!).I value honesty above all else. These guys are as honest as they come. They very easily could have done the more expensive repairs and I would have been none the wiser. My 1996 Toyota Avalon, which has 300K+ miles on it has been running a little hot, and the driver side Windows regulator and motor quit working so I had a window that was down all the time. They gave their initial estimate to fix the window but they were aware of my financial situation so they worked with me and helped me find ways to locate a regulator and motor and then worked a plan for me that saved me a lot of money. They were willing to let my car stay on their lot until the issues were fixed, which was a huge help! Dave, who worked on my car kept me posted via text almost every day, which was extremely helpful. Laramie and Tim were also great to work with in helping me find options that could help me keep my old car from heading to the car graveyard just yet. Clegg’s was amazing. I walked in, they were slammed and said they would work me in the next couple of days. They called that afternoon and told me what was happening and what needed to be done. Laramie gave me all the options and what she recommended and asked what I wanted to do, she gave no pressure one way or the other. Very good experience, I don’t like to pay for a mechanic because I’m pretty handy but rest assured I will be back for any future repairs.

My car’s AC didn’t work, so I took it in and they said the condenser had a hole in it. They replaced the condenser and charged it, and now it cools like a fridge! They also did some work on the sway bar and I’ve noticed my handling around corners is better now. Everyone was friendly, and it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg. I also received timely shuttle rides to and from the shop. Clegg knows what they’re doing!

I come here for my car maintenance on my Hyundai, and I know that I'm always getting a good value. I drive a lot of miles on my car and they are always so good to bring up concerns but speak to me honestly about what it takes to do maintenance repairs. One time I noticed my car was leaking antifreeze fluid, so I took it into the shop and they came back out a quick 5 mins later and said "no charge!" What? really? Yes, it was just the gasket head needed to be adjusted. After hitting a large piece of debris which gave off a loud bang, we worried that the tire and/or shocks had been seriously damaged but we were able to go to Clegg without an appt and have it checked out. We were reassured all was okay after it was put up on the rack and test driven. There was no charge but we arranged for an alignment the next week. We feel Clegg cares about us; we’ve been using them for two-and-a-half years.

My daughter’s Volvo was having issues. We took it to Clegg and they got it right in and diagnosed the numerous issues it had. They provided a detailed emailed/online quote that allowed me to accept or decline any amount of work I wanted. The inspection/quote came to me with pictures of the issues which was nice since it verified that they weren’t just trying to take advantage of my daughter. The quote was also broke down into parts and labor so I was able to check the parts myself online to ensure there wasn’t any severe gouging going on. Once I agreed to specific repairs, they got right on it and they actually finished a few days earlier than they told me they would. The car now drives fine and we are happy with the service. Clegg seems to be honest in their dealings and knowledgeable about European cars. Took the car in to get a quick once over before a big road trip. They were quick and thorough. When they were done I got a print out of everything they checked which was helpful. Like all shops, they did offer some other services which I know the vehicle needs but can’t afford right now. These guys are awesome. Riley was super helpful. Our truck broken down late in the afternoon on the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. We were traveling to go out of town. Called and she spoke with her manager and they agreed to try and help us out, even with it being the end of the day. We were able to make it there about 30 minutes before they closed. They got us in, looked at our truck and got us back on the road again! Will forever recommend them to everyone I know.

I can not recommend Clegg Auto enough. They take such good care of us, and we never have to wonder if we are paying for things not needed. They are so thorough and good at explaining each step. Absolutely WONDERFUL experience with Clegg. They were able to diagnose and fix my leaking radiator problem with my van. Since it was going to take them longer than a few hours, they lent me a mini van to use for two days for free. I was so grateful to still have a family car while ours got fixed! We did not have a perfect experience with Clegg, but I’m giving them 5 stars because of how perfectly, promptly, and professionally they addressed our concerns and corrected any issues.We had to have our transmission replaced, and found Clegg by a stroke of luck and Google. I immediately noticed that they had tons of happy customers, but that they personally responded to any complaints and tried to correct any issues quickly. They patiently loaned us a vehicle while they waited for parts, made recommendations for other repairs and were highly knowledgeable, easily explaining any services and answering all of our questions.We did have a few issues with some of the minor, additional repairs we added to our transmission rebuild— but Gilbert called us as soon as they were notified and immediately sent a tow truck (out of an abundance of caution, and at our request) and staff with their loaner vehicle so we could keep our lives moving. They were able to quickly diagnose and correct our issues, and called us in a matter of hours with the result of their inspections.As a bonus, their staff is friendly and patient! Double bonus, their lobby is stocked with complimentary drinks and air fresheners, so waiting for small repairs is more pleasant than most other shops and dealers I’ve visited.While I hope it is a very long time before I return, I would trust Clegg to offer incredible customer service with high quality products at a great price.read more

I have been here twice in the past few years and never felt like I was getting up sold or lied to about anything. I know we are all pretty weary when it comes to going to auto shops but you do not have be afraid of getting ripped off here.They patched up my tire a few years ago and it was a fraction of what other places quoted me. I then came around last year and I got 4 new tires that were really well priced and have not steered me wrong ;)One of my tires actually was a little flat when I left and I came back and they apologized and filled up all my new tires (again) just in case. We've been using Clegg for over a year and they always have fair pricing and have great communication about what's going on with your car. We've used them for simple oil changes and it costs less than one of those oil change only companies. We've used them for big repairs/replacements and always felt taken care of. They are kind and personable! I highly recommend them.

Honestly one of, if not THE most down-to-earth and trustworthy auto repair shops you can find. I was super impressed not only by the work they did, but their honesty, friendliness, professionalism, and punctuality.They were quite busy but still made time for all the customers walking in and calling, as well as my own appointment. I went in to get a brief check up on my vehicle because a grinding noise I was hearing. They were able to take care of it. I’m not one to understand much about cars, but they easily broke it down for me what to problem was. Explained it simply so communication was awesome! Price was fair and I will definitely go back there for all my car needs. We were incredibly impressed by the quality communication from Clegg Auto. We brought in a new-to-us used car with a host of issues. They thoroughly checked the car and identified a number of key issues that needed to be addressed. This included timing belt, alternator, and several other smaller items. They took time to explain each item and what they checked. They were honest about all repairs. I verified each item they fixed. All of them were addressed correctly. Prices were surprisingly reasonable. We were also impressed by the technical skill of those working there. Everything I was looking for in an auto shop, Clegg provided. I own a tree removal company with a fleet of about 10 trucks. Due to the nature of our work we do a lot of towing and are hard on our vehicles. With that being said we have been to a lot of of mechanics in Utah county and salt lake. In my opinion these guys are the best. I am new to area and needed a body shop so I searched on line and started calling. I'll be honest, I selected Clegg because of their positive reviews but also the helpfulness of the team that takes the call. They were helpful, professional and courteous. My estimate was simple, the repair came in at the estimate, the car was delivered EARLY in excellent condition. And, since my wife was out of town they helped me get the car home....after 5! The front office team is just the BEST! I hope I never used a body shop again but if I ever do there will be no question who I use, Clegg. Thank you team!

These guys were absolutely fabulous to work with!Our car got crashed by a valet service we were using, and it was the Valley services insurance that was taking care of the bills here. Clegg did an awesome job communicating directly with the insurance so that we didn’t need to run back-and-forth, They communicated very proactively twice a week to let me know where things were at with the repair, and best of all, they cleaned out our entire car, and even shampooed the carpets for us!100% recommend these guys.

I had someone back into the tailgate of my truck that left a small dent. I went to 2 places in Spanish Fork to get a bid. The first place quoted a price that was $400 more than Clegg. I asked if I could just leave my tailgate, so I could still use my truck while it was getting repaired. They told me I would need to leave the whole truck. I then went to Clegg. They were super friendly, had a nice facility, and even gave me a drink while I waited to get my bid. They agreed that they could take the tailgate off and do the work without leaving my truck. I picked up my tailgate a couple days later and it looks perfect. I'm super happy with the service I received.

Absolutely fantastic service, we took our car in to get a rusty section sanded and painted, our car is an interesting orange color but when we got it back we genuinely could not tell the difference between the new paint and the stock paint, they had to remove the door to do the work but it was no problem for them. It only took a few days and the staff was very polite and helpful. They even washed the car and put in an air freshener before they gave it back! But best of all they spent the time to call up our dealer to send the payment for repair, our car dealer offered to pay the bill since the rusted spot was not in the original photos of the vehicle, and we’ve spent hours and hours on the phone with our dealer in the past so Clegg calling them saved us time and headache.

I have used Clegg 3 times due to inattentive drivers hitting us. Each time they have done a great job, have been thorough, cleaned our vehicle, and done an excellent job on the work. If there are issues Clegg has a lifetime warranty on their work and they will make it right. Amy in the office has been very understanding, kind, and helpful. I highly recommend Clegg Auto Body and Collision for the quality work that that do but more importantly for their professionalism and integrity in honoring their warranty.

I was in a small fender bender and needed inside fender liner fixed a coworker recommend Clegg Auto Body & Collision my insurance gave me a quote and I took my truck into the shop as soon as I walked into the shop I was greeted by a kind and helpful office worker she immediately called and had the parts order for my truck I left my truck there and within less than 24 hours my truck was repaired fast and the quality of work was above and beyond my expectations I've never seen a body shop perform such quality of work they have definitely earned my business I will not ever take my vehicle anywhere else and on top of that they detailed my truck inside and out and didn't charge me for it they said it just something they do for there customers simply amazing customer service If your need body work done stop thinking about it and take your vehicle to Clegg's Auto you wont be disappointed I promise you that
