This month, while putting together a list of some of our favorite things to do in Utah in August, we kept in mind that school is getting ready to start and families are looking for some quick adventures! So this list is focused on exactly that… last minute family time!
Snowbirds Oktoberfest is back!

Have a River Adventure in Provo or Weber!
If you haven’t tried all of these yet this year, this should definitely be on your list of things to do before school starts! Take These Dog Friendly Family Hikes!
It’s time for a couple of dog friendly, family hikes before school starts! Did you know that Ruth Lake has been called a beginner backpackers dream because the 2 mile loop is relatively flat. For Directions, click HERE!
For a more moderate hike, try the Ibantik Lake trail! This 8.4 mile trail has plenty of activities, including plenty of places to camp along the way and when you get there. For directions and additional information, click, HERE!
Go Geochaching!
To wrap up summer, take your family on a treasure hunt and learn how to go Geocaching! The goal is to locate hidden containers and share your experience online. But remember the geocaching rule… anything you take has to be replaced! So remember to take your own goodies so that it becomes someone else’s treasure!
